Who we are

This website is run by Choplife Entertainment Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16545794), registered office Apex House, 3 Embassy Drive, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 1TR. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@choplife.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Enquiries. When you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us: your organisation, budget, timing and message.
  • Emails. If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider automatically records basic request information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and this site does not set cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain, so visiting the site does not send your data to font providers.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and manage any conversation or project that follows.
  • To keep the website secure and to diagnose problems.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and running a secure website, and, where you are asking about working with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and reply to you:

  • our email delivery provider, which sends form submissions to our inbox;
  • our website hosting provider;
  • our email and office software provider.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep records for as long as the law and our contract require. Technical logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data, or restrict how we use it;
  • stop using your data where we rely on legitimate interests;
  • transfer your data to you or someone else in a common format.

Email hello@choplife.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
